State of our education

While browsing the Website for the higher education department at the ministry of education. i came to know we only have 47 universities in Pakistan accredited by HEC. Amazing isn’t it. We are the people were able to develop nukes and have one of the biggest armies but we don’t have enough institutions for higher education.

I was reading that India has more universities than all the universities combined. Why is that? Why we are so behind countries like India and China. We have a smaller country than these two and to have an infrastructure like them should be easier.

Is it because that we have a high military budget.(if we have a huge budget in billions for the military then why we didn’t have enough helicopters for the rescue ops during earth quake relief)

Is it due to the feudals still sucking the blood out of our country and they don’t want to have educated people in their lands.

Is it because our Political Leaders have become accustomed to raping our resources and economy.

Is it because we are not run by our people but by outside forces.

Just some food for the thought.

The whole issue of cartoon and Insult to Prophet Muhammad

After this whole issue started, I started doing some research online about the issue. I came across quite a few sites which were more offensive than the cartoon originally done by the Danish newspaper. It seems that people hate Muslims quite a lot in certain parts of the world.
I wouldn’t include the links to the following stupid sites as we are not like them. We should tolerate such actions and it is ignorance on the part of such people who have such sites just to offend Muslims.
The blog called The Study of Revenge on blogspot was very offensive and includes a non acceptable image of the prophet.
Then there is a site called Muhammad Believe it or Else is very offensive.
Muhammad’s Image Archive on zombie online had quite a lot of images and most of them are offensive but interestingly quite a few are from Persian cultures. (I don’t know what the Persians wanted by drawing the Prophet’s Images)
Aarons Blog or funny images whatever you want to call it is useless and a clear hate site. Although it seems he is a Jew so I guess he takes it as his God given right to do blasphemy. (Sore Loser)

There are too many sites out there and this has been going on for quite a while. Sadly there are worse cartoons done in the past than the ones in the Danish paper. I would just hope and pray that Muslims understand their position in this world and give attention to stuff that is more serious. I don’t imply that the cartoon are not a serious issue, they are very serious but the scholars of Islam are there to judge the position and I have not heard of a single fatwa about this issue. Until then we can protest but killings and torching tells the world that we are savages. As for these cartoon makers Inshallah Allah will deal with them in the after life and on the Day of Judgment.

I finally got someone to send me an invitation to orkut and man i love it. I have been able to find soo many people on it whom i thought would never see online. it is an amazing online place.

Memories

Today, i was trying to google all the names i could think of guys i knew from islamabad. Interesting it didnt turn up anything interesting. What led me to write this blog was the sad aspect that i couldnt remember alot of names.

Ofcourse i remembered Umair, Touha Imran who i remember very much. rest of the cloudy memory resulted in the names of Salman Aizaz, Adeel Ahmad, Faisal Haroon (ICB) and then blanks :(.

Kinda sad that i have already forgotten inthe short span of 7 years all the people i knew back in islamabad.

cant people ever grow up

I would presume when you are above the age of 24, you have matured enough to carry out an interesting conversation or keep quite if you have no idea abotu the subject matter. But it is amazing people who are married and not married but old enough, some how manage to ignore that they sound wrong and confusioing when they speak. sometimes it is obvious that they are trying to speak about a matter which they have no knowledge about.
what is wrong with such people, do they think that by stating a comment about anything without knowledge people will respect them, infact the opposite is true for them. People think bad of them.

Same goes for people who want to jump into conversations and use some key words to try to make people believe that they are DA BOMB (or simple english TOO COOL).

common guys, it is like that snickers add where the dude is wearing the snickers on his head and his co workers tell him that you are not going to fool us, they know he is bald.

so to all the people who act smart on topics which they have no idea about.
COMMON GUYS, get some snickers and eat it. you are not going to fool me

Mithai and goods from paki land

Finally my parents arrived here from pakistan, they brought Mithai (which i am sure my doctor will have a heart attack to know about). I am a sucker for good mithai just the health doesnt agree with that addiction.

Reading Ghumshuda Qaflay by naseem hijazi today. Need to find Shahab Nama to read.

Contemplate

Sitting at work, i am trying to contemplate on my existance !!!!
Yeah sure, Right
Whatever
nah i am not contemplating, If i did then i would be very smart. alhamdulillah i am happy with the smartness i have already. I am just trying to get my thoughts (which are blank) on this blog. Life sometimes is strange, It is not easy being a human sometimes i think. I surely miss the times when i was a kid and wanted to grow up so much. Now i am grown up i want to have that life which i never wanted to have in the first place.
I guess it is the Qadr of Allah.
Any way Time Gone never comes back so i should try to put my time to better use. No and that doesnt mean playing Call of Duty or Americas Army 🙂

Watching Politics on the Far side of Homefront

Watching ARY last nite i came to know some sindh nationlist. It is amazing to see how much they are self centered and will not agree to anything other than their own agendas. Comon Kalabgh dam is an issue. try to solve it instead of trying to stall it. Try to leave your personal gains for a change and try to think of the poor farmer who needs help!!!
ohh but I forgot they do try to represent them until they get a seat or a ministry. So if tomorrow they come to power ofcourse kalabagh Dam will be an acceptable reality but right now as they sit in the opposition, it is not acceptable.

when will our people get their act together and work really towards a better future for pakistan.
